<p><strong>Addis Ababa, May 22, 2020</strong> – In a historic moment for Babul Keyer USA, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed visited our organization and praised the remarkable work being done by a group of dedicated women to support vulnerable communities in Addis Ababa.</p><p>The Prime Minister took to Twitter to share his appreciation, posting: "<strong>Well done to Babul Kheyer- an initiative by a group of women supporting up to 500 multi-faith families through regular feeding program</strong>" at 4:00 PM on May 22, 2020.</p><p>During his visit, Dr. Abiy Ahmed was accompanied by the Minister of Revenue, the Mayor of Addis Ababa, and other senior government officials. They witnessed firsthand the daily feeding operations that provide nutritious meals to hundreds of families regardless of their faith or background.</p><p>"This recognition from our Prime Minister validates the hard work and dedication of our team, especially our founder Hanan Mahamud and the all-women board members," said a spokesperson for Babul Keyer USA. "It motivates us to continue serving the poorest of the poor with even greater commitment."</p><p>The Prime Minister's visit highlighted the importance of community-based initiatives in addressing food insecurity and poverty in Ethiopia's urban centers. Since its establishment in October 2019, Babul Keyer USA has grown from a small volunteer effort to an organization feeding 5,000 direct beneficiaries daily.</p>
