Babul Keyer USA completes borehole project at Alem Bank site, ensuring water self-sufficiency for operations.

Addis Ababa, March 20, 2023 – Babul Keyer USA has successfully drilled a professional borehole at its Alem Bank site in Kolfe Keranio Sub City, ensuring water self-sufficiency for the organization's operations and benefiting the surrounding community.

The 5,000 square meter site, received from the government, will eventually house a permanent feeding camp, elderly care center, and expanded training facilities. The borehole guarantees a clean, reliable water source for all these activities, reducing costs and ensuring sustainability.

"Water is the foundation of everything we do," explains a Babul Keyer USA project manager. "We need clean water for cooking, for sanitation, for our elderly care programs. Having our own borehole means we can operate independently and serve our community better."

The borehole also benefits neighboring families who previously lacked reliable access to clean water. Babul Keyer USA shares water resources with the community, extending the project's impact beyond the organization's immediate operations.

This water project complements Babul Keyer USA's sanitation initiatives, which provide hygiene materials to 5,000 direct beneficiaries and 12,000 indirect beneficiaries twice per month.
