RAMADAN/EASTER EMERGENCY: 17,000 Families Need Food

The holy month of Ramadan and the Easter celebration should be times of joy and spiritual reflection. But for 17,000 families in Addis Ababa, these sacred days are marked by hunger. They cannot afford Iftar meals to break their fast. They cannot provide holiday meat for their children. For five years, Babul Keyer USA has ensured that 5,000 families receive daily Iftar meals throughout Ramadan, and 2,000 non-Muslim families receive meat for Easter. But this year, with inflation at record highs, the number of families seeking help has TRIPLED. We must expand our seasonal distributions to reach 17,000 families, or thousands will celebrate their holiest days with empty stomachs and broken hearts. This is a spiritual and humanitarian emergency.
