<p><strong>Addis Ababa, November 10, 2023</strong> – Babul Keyer USA has acquired 1 hectare of land (10,000 square meters) in Olonkome City, West Shoa Zone of Oromia Regional State, marking a major expansion into sustainable agriculture.</p><p>The land will be developed for agricultural purposes, growing fresh vegetables and grains to directly supply Babul Keyer USA's feeding programs. This initiative represents a significant step toward food sovereignty and reduced dependence on purchased food supplies.</p><p>"This land is more than just soil and crops," says Hanan Mahamud. "It represents our commitment to long-term sustainability. When we grow our own food, we can ensure its quality, reduce costs, and model sustainable farming practices for the community."</p><p>The agricultural project will also create employment and training opportunities for local youth, teaching sustainable farming techniques and contributing to food security in the region. The initiative complements Babul Keyer USA's participation in the national Green Legacy program.</p><p>Plans for the land include demonstration plots to train local farmers in sustainable techniques, crop diversification for nutritional quality, and integration with Babul Keyer USA's feeding programs to provide fresh, healthy food to beneficiaries.</p>
